Review: Urban Decay Naked Palette

Jun 6, 2012 20 comments
I finally purchased the Urban Decay Naked Palette!! I have wanted this palette since it was release a few years ago, I just never had the money to spend on it. But since graduation, my mom gave me 100 bucks for a present and I used half of it to purchase this long awaited palette! I am kinda sad I had to wait so long because now it is $50 USD and comes with a brush whereas it used to be $44 USD and came with the UD Eyeliner.
Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal
Right: Flash Left: Natural Light
R-L: Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar
R-L: Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse
R-L: Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal
Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the shadows in the palette and I don't have a single regret about spending that 50 dollars.

It has great rage for simple to smokey looks, warm to cool looks, beginner to intermediate looks!

It has two matte matte shades, Naked & Buck. Four sheen colors, Virgin, Darkhorse, Hustle and Creep. Six shimmery colors, Sin, Sidecar, Half Baked, Smog, Toasted(the most pigmented out of all of them) and Gunmetal

I love the variation of finishes, color and shades! I can't wait to use this on a daily basis!

It comes with a mini Primer Potion(which I will review soon) and a soft paddle brush :)
Urban Decay Primer Potion
NYX JEP - Milk
Urban Decay Naked Palette - Virgin, Naked, Buck, Darkhorse, Creep
Milani Liquif'eye Eyeliner - Black
Maybelline Turbo Mascara
MUG Lipstick - Shy

Do you guys have the Naked Palette? What is your favorite shade? Do you prefer the Naked Palette or the Naked2?

So pretty! The dark colours really make your eyes pop, it's a very striking combination. :D

So pretty! I love this palette, I use it all the time. I like the Naked2 better since it has a better range of colors for me, but both palettes are really really good!

When I got mine I could not believe how often I used it!  I got it thinking I'd use it for my kit but I use it on myself at least twice a week.

I love the Naked Palette!  It was my first "high end" makeup purchase and I'm so glad I chose it.  I'm glad that I got it when I did, though... Bleh to them changing to a brush and upping the price. :/

Love love love love this! Naked is my first UD product and I am so glad I received it. The Brush is pretty great but i hate the Primer Potion - I depotted it for easier use but it dried up pretty fast :P

I really love the colors in the Naked palette--Toasted has to be one of my faves-- but for some reason I've just been drawn to use Naked2 faithfully, I use it almost everyday.  And I absolutely LOVE the brushes that come with them.  Again, I prefer the one from N2, but it's because it has a fluffy blending brush on one end and a regular shadow brush on the other.  The bristles are so, so soft & I LOVE that in a brush.

I purchased the naked2 and wish I would've used the money on the first. So glad you finally got it (:

I was so surprised that they actually released a second Naked Palette! I had a hard time deciding which one to buy, but in the end decided on the original :p

The original was my first one, too. I got the second one a few months later, I was surprised they released another one, too. I know I won't ever be buying any more UD products, though. Because of the whole no longer cruelty free thing and moving to China. lol. :D

This is fantastic! I would love love love  to see a tutorial on this look.
As for the palette, I love mine to pieces. It gets used more than anything I own... I expect to hit pan in Naked soon, I use it so much. x)
