Review: Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

A few weeks ago, Makeup Geek contacted me and sent me a few eyeshadows to try out and review for you guys! I was really excited because Marlena has always been a huge inspiration to me and I look up to her so much. Starting off on YouTube and now being the CEO of her own cosmetics company is amazing and I hope to someday be like her! ♥ Now onto the shadows :)

They come in a little slip like this, but now you can buy them in compacts(much like how MAC shadows are packaged), I believe they cost a bit more, but probably worth it. Right now all of my MUG shadows are taped into an old CD case xD

Vanilla Bean: Satin finish skin toned shade, good for a highlight on tan girls. 

Shimma Shimma: A shimmery version of Vanilla Bean basically, a little lighter and better color payoff(I use this a lot in neutral looks).

Purley Naked: Matte medium skin toned shade, I use this when I am creating matte neutral looks. The pay off is not as good as that of Shimma Shimma(also, it is lighter in person).

Glamorous: Shimmery warm coppery brown, one of my favs! Payoff is similar to that of Shimma Shimma, and they work really well together.

Moondust: A very unique color. It is a cool brown but it almost looks silver, great for a cool smokey neutral look(I really love this color). Great color payoff as well.

Mocha: The perfect chocolate dark brown. I use this for every neutral look(so basically every day xD)

Cocoa Bear: A warmer, lighter version of Mocha. Very similar to that warm brown of a teddy bear.

Fuji: A matte lime-ish green. It feels very soft in the pan, like it would have good color payoff, but it really doesn't. I was disappointed with the color

Dirty Martini: A dark olive green, has similar pigmentation to that of Purely Naked, but I have yet to use it in a look.

Neptune: Periwinkle blue, I was really looking forward to this color, it looks absolutely stunning in the pan but I was utterly disappointed. It has the worst color payoff of any of my shadows. Defiantly skip this shade :(

Poolside: One of my favorites! Gorgeous Teal/Blue with glitter. Looks just like the pool in the summer time.

Mermaid: Shimmery ocean teal that also has amazing payoff.

Sea Foam: A satin teal green, gorgeous color, but I don't often use it.

Peacock: Matte peacock blue that works great with Poolside. 

Corrupt: Matte black with great pigmentation, very similar to the NYX one, this is my new go-to black.
