Moondust

I had my first job interview a couple weeks ago and this is what I decided to wear :) I didn't want to do anything too flashy or dramatic. But I also didn't want anything to simple, so I found a happy medium using my Makeup Geek eyeshadows :D The interview was for Jimmy John's Subs but I didn't get the job :/ Ah, well I didn't really want to work there anyways xD Where I really want to work for my first job is a movie theater or a book store :)
Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
MUG e/s - Shimma Shimma, Moondust, Mocha, Corrupt
Revlon Matte e/s - Vintage Lace
Physicians Formula Gel Liner - Black
Prestige Eyeliner - White
Maybelline Turbo Mascara - Black
NYC Liquid Lip Shine - Cappuccino
The rest of my outfit taken with my webcam minus shoes xD
Self painted french manicure :)

So since I have only been on one interview, do you guys think what I wore was appropriate or should I alter it for my next interview?

Love your outfit, and the makeup!
As for the interview, I'm not sure. I always dress nicely, like you did, but I do keep my makeup to a bare minimum:eyeliner and mascara until I can gauge how much I can wear for a certain job. Otherwise...all I can say is good luck for the next one!

Movie theaters are awesome jobs. It can be so boring if you work during the day but it's usually such a fun environment and you get free movies and popcorn. And no, you will not get sick of popcorn.

I think the look is lovely! You look very doe-eyed and pretty. :D
I've only had university interviews, and I'm thinking their system is probably different. But wearing something ungeneric would probably make a good impression. Simple, because they might not let you wear lots of makeup, but not too simple, otherwise you'll be just like everybody else. Showing your own style should make you appear confident and self-possessed. Stress on the "should", lol. But I should think your outfit and makeup here are fitting, because they're individual but not overpoweringly so. I hope your next interview goes well!

I really like it!  I guess the makeup you wear to an interview really depends on the job.   And you also have to be true to yourself.   I could totally see you working in a bookstore...there's a MAC counter at the bookstore on campus here :)  I'm always tempted to spend the book money on makeup!

    Goregrous as always :)

I've been to spool many interviews and I always wear slacks and a nice shirt, a business casual look is always what I go for. I've interviewed in the medical field but im sure its like that everywhere. Good luck next time!

I think that your wardrobe choice is perfect for a movie theatre interview. I'd try something a bit more conservative for a bookstore. I think your makeup is great either way. I worked in a theatre in high school & I seriously loved the job. Projection was the perfect position for allowing time for homework. I miss it. :) Good luck!

Aw, sorry you didn't get the job hun. The outfit is cute. Maybe try a little blazer next time to dress it up a bit? It's certainly not inappropriate though. Beautiful makeup too. This makes me so excited to get moondust!!!

The makeup is beautiful, but I would go a little more subdued for interviews. A naked makeup look.  As for the clothes, they aren't inappropriate, but I agree with Meredith that I would dress it up a little. So many people are looking for jobs right now, so want to go in and blow them out of the water. Make the best impression, so that you stick in their minds :)

Ehhh...TBH I think it's too casual for a job interview.  I'd go with Meredith and pull out the blazer and something a little more structured. It's sad but I've found that the nicer your appearance is the more structured your outfits have to be because otherwise they start thinking of you as nothing but a random "girly girl" with no marketable skill. Law school and philosophy RL forums taught me this lesson the hard way.

Now that I am re-looking at the outfit, it does come off a little more girly that professional. I really don't have a lot of "nice" dress clothes and that is what I was able to come up with. Thank you for the advise! :D
